Ryan Murray serves as Professor and Chair of the Electronic Media and Film Department at Towson University, just outside of Baltimore, MD. He teaches classes on virtual reality production, immersive filmmaking, experimental film and video art, internet video, and video editing.
Murray received the Teaching Award for Senior Faculty from the University Film and Video Association in 2021, a grant from Unity x Meta for his teaching in virtual reality production, and is a three-time Towson University Innovation in Teaching Award winner. He served as Towson University’s Emerging Technology Fellow in the Faculty Academic Center for Excellence at Towson from 2020-2022.
Murray previously taught at the University of Illinois Chicago and at notable arts organizations like the Manchester Craftsmen Guild and Chicago Filmmakers.
